Share: – A part or portion of a larger amount which is divided among a number of people, or to which a number of people contribute to; or one of the equal parts into which a company’s capital is divided, entitling the holder to a proportion of the profits.
Stock: – Now a day two or more company Shares are together called as Stocks. Earlier Stock was referred to only Commodity & Live Stocks like Beef, Hens, Goats, Buffalos, Eggs, Meat, Orange Juice, Coffee, Rice, Corn, and Wheat which were traded for exchange.
Stock Exchange: – Stock exchange is specific place where the trading of shares, Commodities and Bonds are executed, such as BSE, NSE, MCX, NCDEX, NYSE, Tokyo Stock Exchange, NYMEX, CBOT, and NASDAQ and any more. If anybody says Stock Exchange then he is talking about Specific Stock Exchange like BSE or NSE etc. where in shares/debentures of Companies, Commodities or Currencies are bought or sold.
Stock Market: – The stock market is a place where stocks, shares and other investments (Instruments) are bought and sold in one or more stock exchanges. Nowadays if you say you trade in the stock market it would mean that you buy and sell shares/equity. In a share market, shares are bought and sold. The stock market is a share market, however besides shares of companies, other instruments like bonds, mutual funds and derivative contracts too are traded in the stock market.
